Hey there blaruefit family! We have officially made it to the first week of February, woo! Anyone else feel like January lasted as long as the entire year of 2017? This girl sure feels that way. February is a good time to do a little reflecting, are you sticking with the goals you set at the beginning of the year or have you already fallen to the wayside? Take some time this week to do a little self reflecting, be honest with your progress and make changes necessary to continue pursuing your goals for 2018!

Ok...go reflect and after you have done that grab a cup of tea, give yourself some quiet time, and enjoy some of my favorite articles for the week!

The Simple Trick To Cure Your Snack Cravings - MBG

I am guilty when it comes to snacking. I loveeeee snacks...salty, sweet, or crunchy, I love them all. (#snackqueen) The thing is that all of that mindless eating can VERY quickly add up in calories and before you know it you snacked two days worth of calories away...oops. Increasing protein is a fantastic way help cure some of that snacking cravings. Enjoy this article from Mind Body Green explaining why protein is so great and they even throw in a delicious smoothie recipe!

These Beauty Products Make A Case For Wearing Makeup To The Gym - The Zoe Report

When it comes to sensitive skin, your girl has got it. The struggle is so real when it comes to clogged pores from constant sweating at the gym. I have recently stopped wearing makeup during my workouts and let me tell you what my skin is LOVING me for it. However, there is something about feeling put together that can make a workout seem so much more productive. I am constantly searching for sweat worthy products that can be worn to the gym, and not make my face look like a solar system (aka zits all over). The Zoe Report did an article on products specifically designed for the gym, WHAT! Check it out, there are definitely a few I am going to give a shot.

Also, I started using a face wash from the skincare company FRE, specifically designed for sweaty chicks. I use it after my workouts to keep my face fresh and clean. CLICK HERE to check it out and use my code BLARUEFIT for a discount! <3

This Year's Super Bowl Aims To Be Zero Waste - MBG

With this past weekend being super bowl I thought this was a neat article to share. I am all about going green and doing what I can to save the environment we live in. Yes, I am the girl with the cute reusable grocery bags. :)  It is so refreshing to see bigger corporations making efforts too. Baby steps my friends, but we've gotta start somewhere!

The Neuroscience Of Spirituality & Religion - MBG

I found this article quite fascinating because I enjoy learning about the impact that spirituality can have on health. We are discovering (not discovering but finally recognizing) that health is not only fitness or nutrition, there are many many other aspects to look at and spiritual health is definitely one of them.

"Whatever kind of spirituality you do or do not subscribe to, it’s becoming increasingly difficult to turn your back on the science that says spiritual beliefs can have profound health benefits, mental and physical. It's time to make spiritual fitness a part of your health routine." - William Sears, M.D.

So there it is my friends...my articles for this week! I guess I did a lot of Mind Body Green reading haha. I am sorry for the slight delay (this is being posted on a Thursday) but this week has been QUITE the hectic one. That is a story for another day.

Finish the week out strong and I will see you next week!

POSTS YOU SHOULD READ THIS WEEK

Hello there blaruefit fam! I hope your week is off to a great positive and productive start. I know one of my goals this week is really dedicating my time to the things that bring my joy...and writing this post is definitely one of them!

Is anyone else guilty of signing up for an endless amount of emails and blogs that you have every intention of reading and then end up just skipping over and moving them to your trash folder? I am the worst when it comes to this. I always see websites and blogs that I find interesting and then never actually read the content. So...I was thinking how can I cut out all of the nonsense and actually read the articles I find most important, wouldn't that be nice? Well...I am here to make your reading a little more carefree and effective. I have decided to do a post weekly highlighting some of my favorite articles that I see from my top sites and blogs that I follow. These articles could be anything under the sun (I have lots of interests), but none the less they are the posts I think are interesting and definitely worth the read while enjoying your morning coffee.

So, without further ado here are my top posts that you should read this week. Just click the titles to take you to the article and enjoy!

7 Habits For A Mindful, Stress-Free Morning Routine - MBG

This may be an older article but the concept of how important your morning routine is on setting the tone for your entire day still holds so true. I personally am NOT a morning person, so for me making the morning time stress free and enjoyable is so important and really helps me get my day off to a good start (and I tend to be overall more productive). The 7 habits are all things that are great to try to incorporate into your morning. My advice would be each day if you can get 3 out of the 7 you are off to a great start!

9 Ways to Measure Success That Have Nothing to Do With Money - Greatist

HELLO I needed to read this! Maybe it is because right now I am definitely a ballin' on a budget chick, but this article was definitely a huge reminder for me on what success actually is. There are so many ways to measure success in your life, it is not ALL about the bank account.

"When you replace the word "stress" with "fear," you understand that when you’re stressed out and feeling unsuccessful, you’re probably just scared of something." - Susie Moore

12 FOODS TO ACHIEVE A FLAT STOMACH & HOW TO DEFEAT BLOATING - Tropeaka

Tropeaka is not only one of my favorite products to use they also post great informational content about health, nutrition, and fitness. Expect to see lots of articles in the future from them. I can personally say I suggest a handful of foods on this list to all of my clients because they are great for digestion and nutrition (which helps achieve that flat tummy we are all searching for)! Some of my favorites on this list are berries, ginger, and fermented veggies.

I am going to leave you with those three articles to enjoy this week! Remember, if you give them a read let me know your thoughts. I would love to discuss with you. :)

Have a fantastic week!

xoxo,
